Based on the popular video game, this action-packed adventure pits Colonel William Guile (Van Damme), the Allied Nations commando leader, against the diabolical General Bison (Raul Julia). Ryu, Chun-Li, Sagat, and other combatants from the popular video game "Street Fighter II" come to life in all their kickboxing glory. Gen. Bison, the villainous ruler of Shadaloo, is holding over 60 relief workers hostage. When the Allied Nations forces, led by handsome redhead Col. Guile, decide to pay Bison a ransom instead of overthrowing him, Guile objects, and is fired. Never one to take things lightly, Guile rounds up a multi-cultural band of expert "street fighters", including Kylie Minogue's Officer Cammy, and sets out to defeat the nefarious Bison. A high-kicking, futuristic, martial arts battle for the fate of the Earth, Raul Julia's final performance.

yet another all round good film of van damme's very enjoyable and entertaining
If your looking for a for a film witch wil stay true to the game you are gonna be disappointed. Where to start with the mistakes. 1. Guile is an all american so they cast van damme a belgium to play the part 2. Blanka is created by m bison and he's actualy charlie, witch is completely wrong 3. sagat and t hawk are half the size they r supposed to be 4. the funniest mistakes of all, cammy is kylie minogue 5. Ryu and ken just are like kids and they pronounce ryu's name wrong throughout the whole film. Good things about this film is they casted zangief, e honda, balrog, and vega close enough. Now M bison was a complete miscast but raul julia r.i.p done this role brilliantly and very funny aswell. But all round if you watch this film as a regular film without thinking at all about the game, then its not bad
