A terrible storyline but two stars for the dance sequences alone which were outstanding - Nothing more to say really.

Thin but engaging plot and some SUPERB dance sequences make this a good watch, eye candy for ALL sexes keeps the interest but as a former dancer, I found the routines thrilling and for the most part original, a feast for the senses if not the intellect.

The acting was that bad, it spoilt the fact that the dancers were so good. The plot was so predictable, George Samson had no screen presence, the film really did not need him.

I loved the smoky Cuba vibe – the production team did a great job of recreating an authentic feel but don’t expect much of a story line, character development or great acting. However Tom Conti was sweet as Eva’s protective Uncle and Sofia (Eva) really did try to show passion between her and male lead Falk Hentschall but he was just so chilled that he seemed detached throughout. Falk never really let go during the salsa scenes either and for me that’s what let down the film as it focuses on them as a couple but the chemistry just wasn’t there. I only watched this for Lil Steph and Sophia Boutella but now I’ve been introduced to even more great dancers, like Bam-Bam and Lilou. So, I’m not disappointed – they’ve cast some of the best professional dancers in Europe. Worth watching just for that.
