StreetDance 2010 UK
By a customer from Darlington , 01 Jun 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
What a pleasant surprise this was. I had a few hours to kill and a I decided to go watch a movie. My choice was Streetdance.
The storyline is very simple and easy to follow, the acting a little awkward at times but the dancing was fantastic.
I'm old enough to be the father of most of the kids in the theatre but I came away thinking 'money well spent'. It's a long time since I felt that way having watched a load of multi million dollar Hollywood rubbish the past year.
A must for teenagers they will love this, us older members will enjoy it for the ballet and street dancing. The mix is fantastic.
I'm getting the blu-ray when out.- Was this review helpful to you?

(101)Horrendous acting and average dancing
By a customer , 19 Apr 2013I barely ever bother reviewing things, but I feel I had to say something with this one. Like most people I've watched a lot of street dance films, but this one is shockingly bad. Usually, with these kind of films you're happy to accept average acting for the amazing dancing, but the dancing only had brief moments where it was really good. To say the acting is stiff would be an understatement, especially the lead girl - and her dancing isn't good enough to justify her being cast as the lead for this film when her acting is SO poor. The very stiff and unimaginative script was sooo predictable that I knew what was about to happen, before it happened, scene for scene. I don't know if it's because it's a British film and the production costs were low, but it just looked so cheap. Even the final dance competition where you're usually wowed with all the moves in these dance films, I was genuinely bored - it didn't flow and they were badly styled. Having said that, because it is SO bad, it's pure comedy, so I would recommend it for those who want to laugh. At, not with.- Was this review helpful to you?

mind blowing moves, soul destroying acting
By Vicketyvoo (26 reviews) , 08 Apr 2013The dancing is first class but this is a film and the acting isnt up to standard. The storyline is crap and they didnt even say if the crew got to go to America which was the aim. The main bird needs some acting classes if she wants to act otherwise keep doing whatever she does cuz she is a good dancer (but not the best). Watch this just for the moves.- Was this review helpful to you?

Love it
By Shazzabed (1 review) , 16 Mar 2013love it, the acting was a bit wooden in parts but didn't spoil the film at all. brought back the old rhythm and the thirst for dance again. love the soundtracks and the fact that they used genuine Street crews instead of dancers being brought together for a film.
Love it Love it Love it can't wait to watch the next one now!- Was this review helpful to you?
