This movie certainly is gritty. Unfortunately that's all it has going for it. The performances aren't particularly great. Val Kilmer seems to be on autopilot, you will notice the difference if you see Spartan. Curtis Jackson can't act period. Sharon Stone just about manages a southern accent. The movie offers nothing new on corruption, though it is good in terms of the scenery, as you can feel some of the devastation of hurricane katrina.
A major disappointment.
Has the potential to be a decent cop thriller if it was'nt for the shakey camera work.
Has a good cast bar Curtis '50 cent' Jackson (should stick to rapping) and a resonable plot with an ok twist (if not predictable). Unfortunately the poor camera work makes this a frustrating and annoying film to watch. Shame!
