I _love_ Strictly - the drama, the floaty dresses, the unexpected hotties from childrens' TV. And the professionals are of course brilliant. So I had high hopes for this DVD. Unfortunately though after one run-through, I realised it was never going to change my two left feet into those of an Aleisha. There are various sections based mainly on the Latin dances, and I think I would have only been able to have a shot at the Salsa one.

Typically it's Erin saying 'it's so easy! But before you start, lets go over the core steps'. She then goes through 12 - no exaggeration - different steps. 12?! And then links them all together in the subsequent routine with no further explanation.

Karen 'Miss Exuberance' Hardy is alot more natural and encouraging, and they've picked some good background tunes. But if you think a lock turn is something to do with keys, you're going to have your work cut out!

An ok DVD.

I hired this DVD thinking it would be great, but it wasn't that great.

Some of the dances were ok.

What did annoy me though was the poor knowledge that Karen Hardy had on the Salsa.

She teaches the mambo step as you've got to bring your feet together, but you should never do that as it makes it look stilted, instead you should let your feet pass each other slightly as this makes it look a lot smoother.

Another thing is in Salsa the mambo step is stepping forward on the left foot and not stepping forward on the right foot.

Well, at least thats the way I teach it.
