Just plain bad
By Ozor (92 reviews) from Essex , 31 Mar 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
This is has to be one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. The story itself is watchable, but then they just randomly throw in these idiotic imagination scenes which have no relevance to anything other than to try and appeal to the crowd who have an attention span of a 2 year old. Honestly this movie was so stupid I felt insulted after watching it.

(404)A mash up of comic book movies?
By Wally82 (3 reviews) from Witney , 02 May 2013You know that feeling when you wake up in the morning and you've had the strangest dream? One that you can't explain and makes absolutely no sense? Well this film is like that.... If you accept the fact that the film is probably an hour too long and you won't understand where you are with it, the film has some really good points. The effects are similar to that of a computer game giving you the impression you're inside one for real. The movie has a really dark element to it, similar to The Crow. However it fails to develop the characters well enough and most are easily forgettable. It would be easy to claim this movie as a one dimensional mash up of many comic book movies, but that would do it an injustice. A similarly difficult concept to Inception this film requires you to just run with it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Crazy Action, Crazy Music, Crazy Girls(Literally)
By Anil8 (3 reviews) from Lancing , 27 Mar 2013An amazing ride of a movie! The story may seem a little confusing at first, as though it dosen't fit together, but this all gets explained as the film flows. Flow it does from crazy action scene (with great CGI) to slightly disturbing false reality, then into very disturbing actual reality, back to action again. This film is worth watching. Even if you don't like it, you will remember it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Sucked a bunch!
By a customer , 11 Mar 2013I have never seen such glorious high-tech cgi wasted on a film with less cerebral content than your average fish tank before. Watch this film to see what that looks like, but be prepared to spend days easing the bemused raised eyebrow back into place. If you like acid but ran out of drugs feel free.- Was this review helpful to you?

Style over Substance, but who cares?
By JimboSlice (2 reviews) , 09 Mar 2013Ok, the plot of the film isn't all that great and the 'imaginary' sequences do not make the slightest bit of sense at all but sometimes a film isn't about the story, it's about the aesthetics.
Zack Snyder's most notable works, 300 and Watchmen, are brilliant films in terms of the narrative and visual imagery but with Sucker Punch it's definitely more to do with the visuals.
There is no doubt that the action sequences are wonderful to look at and the film is worth a watch just for them, not to mention the very attractive young women (just to add to the style over substance debate), but don't expect a good story. Some might not like that, but I don't care and I liked it.
I would very much liken this film to something like The Raid (which is amazing by the way, 5 stars) where there isn't much plot, but it's all about the awesome action sequences.

The title says it all..
By showmethemoney (484 reviews) from South Wales , 15 Feb 2013If there's one thing that sucker punch does well its to create a world of pure fantasy. With its alternate world zack Snyder has created an epic non stop battle which leaves you in awe and craving for more. The effects are very impressive and helps create what makes for a very good looking viewing experience. Eventually this all leads to unravelling the story and putting the pieces in place, which is where it makes sense. There were some surprises along the way too, which I admit caught me off guard a little.- Was this review helpful to you?
