Summer Boring and Unfunny.By wilkybeste from east sussex , 30 Aug 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]Living in Brighton, I was interested to watch this film, being based in Brighton. However the only going for this film is recognising the sites in the background.
The story line is slow, and weak. The dialogue and acting is poor. You feel very little for the characters and nothing really happens.
Although it's based in Brighton it really doesn't capture the essence of such an amazing city, it merely shows off many tourist attractions in the background.
Also this film has taken a long time to make it to DVD, and the city has changed somewhat since this was filmed (note the West Pier still intact!)
A poor effort, and unless you have a keen interest in how Brighton looked 10 years ago. Don't bother!

...By a customer from London , 22 Oct 2008I watched it for two minutes and then turned it off, I literally couldn't watch it anymore. Normally I'll persevere with films but this one was basically begging me to put another one. I rented it to see Brighton, where I grew up, but it wasn't a nice experience. It made the Brighton residents look like fools.
The acting in the film is nothing more than a joke. I can't think of anything constructive to say, it was that bad. Actually, the only thing constructive I can mention is; don't rent this trash.
Warm and satisfyingBy filmwatcher (83 reviews) from Brixham , 15 Jul 2008A sunny, funny little film, about a group of bright teenagers in Brighton in the 'ninetees, their personal emotional dramas and crises. Hilarious and sad in turn, with a perfect ending. Captures the period expertly. A film for teenagers and nostalgic oldies. I loved it.
TerribleBy a customer from Brighton , 04 Sep 2007Diabolical acting, dull plot and cliched script. The only redeeming factor to this film is the Brighton setting. Save yourself the boredom and rent ANYTHING ELSE!
It's really really poorBy a customer from Sussex, England , 01 Jun 2007Dreadful.
I am surprised that a film can be set somewhere as hectic and unique as brighton and turn out so vapid and uninteresting. The characters are absolutely beyond parody and the female lead seems to have the emotional age of around 14. The male lead is a comic artist who skateboards down to the beach, his best friend wears his baseball cap backwards, almost every scene is cringe inducing. This is a terrible terrible film
Not that greatBy a customer from Derby, England , 18 May 2007I thought this film would be really good. But in the end I thought it was quite mudane and I wasn't really bothered about the characters in the film at all. To be honest I nearly switched the DVD off as it was so boring.
