Super... Hell Yeah!
By Keepinitreal (1 review) , 26 Aug 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Seems, from the other reviews, like this movie is a little like Marmite - You either love it or you hate it! Personally I hate Marmite but I thought this movie was awesome.
Admittedly, at the start, it is little difficult to relate to the plight of our soon to be super hero, Frank but once he starts his crime fighting escapades, much amusement and hilarity ensues.
Frank's farcical attempts to fight back against the criminal and not quite so criminal elements of society are particularly comical because you can only imagine your own attempts at superheroism ending in a similarly ludicrous manner.
Don't be expecting normal American humour because this movie is a little different and at times just a bit odd but all in a good way. If you open your mind and just relax and go with it you will be rewarded by some serious excercise on all your laughing muscles- Was this review helpful to you?

(121)Excellent - a less juvenile KickAss
By Chorltonite (16 reviews) , 29 Mar 2013Brilliant excellent film - definitely an 18 for the violence. Like Watchmen but without powers - a less juvenile KickAss, if you like, without over choreographed fights and with deeper emotion. Crazy people do crazy things. Is Love Insanity?- Was this review helpful to you?

Shut up, Crime!
By Stevemould (3 reviews) , 26 Nov 2012This is the funniest film i have seen for a long time. Think kickass with more swearing and mental illness and you wouldn't be far off. it's incredibly violent and coarse in places, but still manages to pack an emotional punch at the end.
I'm not sure at what point I started caring about characters that at the beginning i would have crossed the street to avoid but care i did. Deserves a much bigger audience.- Was this review helpful to you?

A rip off of a better film
By Movieaddict (9 reviews) from Portsmouth , 02 Nov 2012Rip off of 'Kick A s s'; and a poor one at that. I suggest you don't waste your time with this - watch the real thing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Could have been more super
By movielover1971 (100 reviews) from Leeds , 07 Oct 2012A guy who is fed up with everything has a go at becoming a super hero, but ends up looking like a guy in a costume.
Ranin Wilson is as dead pan as ever while the beautiful Ellen Page plays his wise cracking side kick.
Also has a great support cast with the likes of Liv Tyler and Kevin Bacon.- Was this review helpful to you?

Funny movie
By Jase2013 (9 reviews) , 18 Sep 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
It took me a long time to watch this movie as I thought it was just a rip-off of 'Kick A*s' (Well it kind of is but...)
However I did eventually watch it and I feel it is a bit slow to get into but once it got going it was really funny. That's maybe because I have a really dark sense of humour, and if you do too then watch this film.
The girl from Inception/Juno is in it too and she has a funny character as the side kick.- Was this review helpful to you?
