  Actor Henry Cavill is pushing his body "beyond its normal limits" as he prepares to play Superman in Man Of Steel, eating a massive 5,000 calories a day to bulk up for the action man role.   Actress Julia Ormond has become the latest star linked to the much-anticipated Superman revamp - reports suggest she's in talks to play the Man of Steel's mother, Lara. Henry Cavill will play the superhero in director Zach Snyder's film and Russell Crowe has signed on to play his father Jor-El in the blockbuster.   Actor Henry Cavill had to pass the costume test before he won the role of Superman in Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder's new movie - he had to wear a replica of the outfit Christopher Reeve wore in 1978. The producer and director had to make sure their pick for the Man of Steel looked the part - and insisted on putting him in the much-maligned suit Reeve's Superman wore.
