Ok, so after two seasons of pure unadulterated coolness, season three had a lot to live up to. And it does, repeatedly. Not even the writers strike had too much of an effect (other than shortnening the whole thing down to 16 episodes from the usual 23).
The boys are on top form this year. Fans of the show will note how last season, Dean made a sacrifice to save his brother. This season see's a stellar performance from Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) as he comes to terms with his fate.
New characters are introduced and the show finally gives us a few small answers around the fire and Mary Winchester's death. Highlights this year include two characters returning for the hillarious reality TV style 'Ghostfacers'.
It's all a little darker and heavier this year, and deservedly so. The boys are facing some serious problems that rock salt cannot fix.
A brilliant, if a little short season, emcompassing everything we've come to know and love about the Winchester boys, then ramping up the ghoulies a touch. Good work all round!

In all of the 6 seasons there has only been one really bad episode of this show. Rent it - you will love it!- Was this review helpful to you?

I think the last episode is a fab Cliffhanger and well done to the writers for following through with deans deal.

supernatural season 3
By anitaj (7 reviews) from cambridgeshire , 03 Sep 2009This is not only a good view but also has some of the old storylines of old hammer horror films but made more elaborate and exciting, plenty of action good camera work plenty of special effects that is extremely good for a series, some scenes will make you wince an even jump out of your seat, the two main actors not only both very attractive, can actually act and sometimes you can see they ham out their scenes in some quite hot and scary moments, it must be pretty hard for them not to laugh at some of the moments of comedy that are in included in scenes, but overall if you enjoy the old mystic and tales of the folklores and ancient times of warlords and witches. This is definately highly recommended.........I've only seen part of this series and I am thoroughly hooked on it.
This is very different from what you first expect, if you liked House on Haunted Hill, and that type of film you will definately enjoy the whole series.- Was this review helpful to you?
