Whilst containing very few surprises, and certainly not being on a par with Danny Boyle's recent 'Sunshine,' this is still an excellent film. James Spader is very good.
The effects in this film are very very good, the story is ok but it is predictable with some large plot holes. However, if you like science fiction films them it's worth a rent, I personally really liked it.
