On the plus side, it's great to have a genre thriller where the leading man is both gay and 'normal' - he sleeps with men but he's not camp or outrageous or simply there to be the comedy 'best friend'. I also commend the director's wish to say something about a society under constant scrutiny and about the paranoia iand homophobia which still exist in high circles. But for all its ambitions this fails to satisfy. The mixture of formats (film, HD, CCTV footage) must have seeemed daring but it looks cheap, and the performances don't seem to have had time to settle in. Only experienced veterans Simon Callow and Michael Elwyn give the piece weight and a credibility which the unpersuasive storyline fails to deliver.
really annoyingly filmed - you could do better with a camcorder
