Swami

Swami is an accountant in a private firm, who lives with his wife, Radha and their little son, Adarsh. When he gets a job in Mumbai, Swami shifts base. Radha’s only desire is that some day her son would take her and Swami to America. Life goes on smoothly till one day, Radha complains of abdominal pain. The doctor recommends surgery, to cover the cost of which Swami is ready to liquidate all his life’s savings. He also begins to work overtime to get more money for the impending operation. However, Radha uses all the money to buy a rocking chair for Swami because she has seen how he yearns to sit on such a chair. Soon thereafter, Radha breathes her last. Swami raises his child who grows up to be an ideal son. Adarsh gets married to his girlfriend who also proves to be a worthy daughter-in-law. Unaware of the sentimental value the chair holds for her father-in-law, she sells it off one day, only to regret her decision. Meanwhile, Adarsh has been working towards realising his mother’s dream of going to America, now along with his father. His company finally decides to send him to the US but it won’t bear the cost of his father’s travel.

This is not for the ones who perfer a fast moving flow, this is a different type from your usall bollywood flicks, in simply is about the life of an villager and the dreams he and his wife (Juhi) have for there son. The film flow whilst may not be fast however it does keep you intrested and perfomance by all are good including the new artist who plays the son. It is a movie that you may relate to in the changes in a person life that occurs each step, ie father, moving homes, jobs etc... overall a good family viewing.
