Dancer, theatre director and choreographic genius Bob Fosse made his film directing debut with this adaptation of his Broadway hit about the sad life of a dance-hall hostess whose run of bad luck fails to dampen her belief in fairy-tale romance. A fantastic, gritty yet heartwarming musical. Fosse's direction and choregraphy leave me breathless every time. Shirley MacLaine is endearing as Charity with fantastic support by Broadway legends Chita Rivera and Stubby Kaye.

This is GREAT!
This is a such a 'cool and deliously 60's original film. It is encaptures the pop art and the sophistication of New York in that era. It is one of the most fun and stylish musicals of it's time.
