Fosse Masterpiece
By AdeyG from Merseyside , 03 May 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
A fantastic, gritty yet heartwarming musical. Fosse's direction and choregraphy leave me breathless every time. Shirley MacLaine is endearing as Charity with fantastic support by Broadway legends Chita Rivera and Stubby Kaye.
I loved the fact the alternative ending was on the DVD, great to see.... but I still went back and re-watched the original!
This is GREAT!- Was this review helpful to you?

Sweet Charity
By Vegan (2 reviews) from Seaford , 24 Mar 2011I love it . The music is tuneful and varied. The dancing is excellent. Shirley MacLaine is believable as a too trusting individual and she performs her songs so well .; It always holds my interest.- Was this review helpful to you?

IN ITS DAY IT WAS GREAT
By Deeanne (34 reviews) from Bournemouth , 04 Feb 2011Hired this film for nostalgia after seeing the stage version recently. It was what you would expect considering its age.
The best bit is to watch the alternative ending. Why didnt they keep this as the ending, I would have been much happier.- Was this review helpful to you?
