a really sweet film with a very gentle pace

Worst film I have seen in a long long time. Tedious, disjointed rubbish.

This is a nice little story with the emphisis on little. It is slow but it is meant to be slow. Give it a try.

I just don't see the point!
Made in 2005 this is a really enjoyable movie. Beautiful cinematography, realistic costumes and settings and quality acting from a fine cast, particularly Elizabeth Reaser.
Tells the tale how a 'mail order' bride from Easter Europe adjusts and tries to integrate into Minnesota farmland society in the early 20th century.
Found this film a bit disjointed and hard to understand at the beginning, however, we persevered and watched it until the end. Not the best film we'd ever seen but certainly not the worst. No swearing or violence made a pleasant change. Could not honestly recommend it.
Sorry but had every intention to watch but when got it, just couldnt summon the energy to be bothered. Nothing to grab my attention and make me want to watch it all. Seemed a bore. Sorry.
Honestly I found this film to slow to be interesting so I lost all desire to watch it after 20 minutes. Unfortunately it isn't beautiful enough to keep you watching it all the way through the way that some slow films do.
Sadly this is a very, very slow dull movie. Occasionally i like the slow, small cast, low budget type film, but this one is just too much. Nice performances from the leads, but that's about it i'm afraid.
I really liked this simple story, excellent camera work and well acted. A beautiful story.
