Sweet! It's November! Watching Sweet November In NovemberBy David Levy from Totteridge, London , 11 Nov 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]So, what of Sweet November? Well, it features two actors at opposite ends of the queue when they were handing out acting talent in Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron, and is about as sickly sweet as candy floss dipped in honey.
But don't for a moment think it is all bad, because it is not. The film muddles along at first, as Keanu's high flying advertising executive meets, befriends, and falls in love with Charlize Theron, who runs month-long 'life improvement' live-in therapy, and at the same time, falls in love and learns life lessons aplenty.
You know it can't end well for them, and I won't tell you what does happen, only that I had a good few tears in my eyes, and had to go and watch something else before I went to sleep. Actually, I wrote this review. But then, i'm a fairly romantic soul.
The film has its faults. It has a muddled script, the plot dives all over place, and Keanu's acting does leave a lot to be desired, as much as I tried to make it not an issue. In the end, though, if you are looking for a romantic drama to pull your heartstrings, and give you that uplifting 'love of life' boost, then Sweet November could be just what you are looking for.

Annoying Leads - Male & FemaleBy 5ft7offootballheaven (300 reviews) from London , 06 Mar 2012My girlfriend likes it - I had to watch it. Am pretty sure I must have watched it before and blanked it or I was just 'insightful' (or vaguely intelligent) as I surmised the 'twist' reasonably early on.
Its standard fare really, stuck up workaholic (insert male or female lead) meets quirky (flippin annoying) lifestyle changer.
Guess the rest etc etc.
I should probably try and watch the original at some point, its bound to be better.

It's okBy Babs292 (11 reviews) from London , 27 Jul 2011I think she is brilliant in acting her part. He is not quite up to her standard. It's a sweet movie but very sad. I expected a different end, therefore a bit disappointed when I got there.
Sweet NovemberBy a customer from Ashford , 23 Oct 2010This film had it's cute moments and an obvious moral plot to it, but I quite enjoyed. A little different from most films but still enjoyable and could get you shedding a tear at the end.
