Hawn shines in moving romance
By Ruby from Brighton, England , 15 Oct 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
I have never been convinced by Goldie Hawn's acting ability but in this funny, romantic and thought-provoking film she really stretches her acting muscles. The relationship between her and Kurt Russell is very sweet and her complicated marriage to Ed Harris is done with sensitivity. The love triangle between her and her friend seems a little obvious but the sexism, towards the women in the factory, is really shocking. Overall it is a lovely film centering on female friendship in the Second World War. Enjoy!- Was this review helpful to you?
