Truly fantastic thriller.....in frenchdom!
By IM69 (151 reviews) from stonehaven , 05 Sep 2012This is French. Once you get over that small sticky point, its truly a fantastic thriller, enjoyable right to the end. Watch it, you enjoy it.
Couldnt believe the amount of cigerattes Cantona smoked, its a wonder he can walk never mind run full pelt after people.

I'm not going to say don't watch it, however I'm not going to say watch it!
By JonathanWelfordcom (34 reviews) from Manchester , 29 Jul 2012Mmmm nicely shot with a standard premise that is set up quickly and gets going with a decent pace, from there it turns into straight to video plot lines, trying to be overly clever with twists and turns that don't really work.
Premise is... a woman from Canada switches homes with another home owner in Paris, this is where the first unrealistic element kicks in, if you had a marvellous glamourous and expensive apartment with views of Paris and a garden furnished with luxury antiques for one up from a mobile home with views of a swamp like lake and IKEA furniture... mmm I think not. Anyhow.... our woman decamps with speed to Paris where she does a montage of Paris sightseeing and general skipping around in floaty dresses even being chatted up by a handsome architect. Following day she wakes up feeling groggy, the police knocking down her front door and a headless corpse in the spare bedroom. As I say great premise.... from there a catalogue of mistaken identity, car chases, foot chases and a mother with a shotgun (don't ask! that was a ridiculous plot turn that made me nearly press the eject button) However it's strangely captivating and watchable.
I won't spoil the ending, but it does end abruptly, as though they'd run out of budget... the Ferris Bueller esq chase sequence was amusing.
I'm not going to say don't watch it, however I'm not going to say watch it, if you want something to kill some time away you could watch worse.- Was this review helpful to you?

Too many shortcuts here.........
By InAbsentia (30 reviews) from Bournemouth , 15 Jul 2012This film had the potential to be a really classy French crime thriller, but some lazy writing makes it a poor relative of The Fugitve and it's just too easy to see how things will turn out. Too many remarks are made about the French all being on holiday in August which then delays the investigations of the Police. The lead actress plays her part well, though.
It's an easy evening's viewing if you're prepared to ignore the flaws.- Was this review helpful to you?

A very enjoyable thriller!
By Sammy1973 (277 reviews) from King's Lynn , 29 Jun 2012This is one of those films where you just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. Do not think about the MAJOR holes in the plot or the fact that this just couldn't happen!!!!
Eric Cantona is awesome, I just love him is this film. There is one particular which is brilliant.
I thought the characters were likeable, the film is engaging from the beginning and is very exciting.
You could argue that the films plot has been done many times before and that there are so many holes in this particular film that you would slate it but for some reason that is not the case. All credit to the cast for their fantastic acting and the director for making it what it is - a very thrilling, enjoyable film.- Was this review helpful to you?
