    Totally loved it!!!

having grown up watching the cartoons i thought i would see if the movie would live up to my childhood expectations. it did in every way the characters are how i remembered them exactly and raphiel still remains my favourite. the film has everything a good film needs, i loved it such much that im going to see it again along with friends how also so the weekend pre-release with me!

    Not children anymore!

I remember watching the TMNT TV series, which was brilliant, alas what worked then does not work very well in this movie.

I think if the movie makers were aiming it at the kids who used to watch the series, which is what i think most viewers of this film probably did as well as the odd newbie, then they should realise that we are not kids anymore and need something a bit more substantial, not the same old stuff that used to be in the tv series because those stunts and fights that wooed and wowed us back then just dont cut it now. Especially as other films, namely the transformers used special effects to a much greater use.

There is nothing great about this film and the 4 turtles are really rather dissapointing as they fight with each other through most of it. And what is going on with that rat of a father, he should have been left out of it, his 'performance' was painful to watch.

Rather than keeping this film as a cartoon, it would have been much better making it real life, which would have given it more sustainability.

Give this film a miss and just remember the TMNT as great as they were back when you were a kid, this film will just ruin the dream.

Heroes in a half shell top the chart

    • 26 Mar 2007

Although the cartoon series ended some time ago, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have returned - and this time they have topped the US box office chart. The computer animated film, entitled TMNT, was the most popular film in cinemas across the pond this weekend, generating $25.45 million (£12.46 million) and knocking historical epic 300 into second place. All four turtles are back, as is roving reporter April O'Neill, mutant rat Master Splinter and Casey Jones, an ally of the sewer-dwellin Read more
