  • Not just for bikers

I'm no biker but went along to a free screening of this yesterday. The verdict is this movie is so good I'll happily pay to go and see it again.

As a standard 2D film it would be absorbing but the 3D element really draws you into the thrills, spills, highs, desperate lows and utter passion of the TT races. This isn't just about bikes racing at quite literally breakneck speeds it's about all the people involved from the riders themselves, their families, the mechanics, and the officials to the fans who come from across the world.

A day later and I'm still taken aback by the experience. The strapline 'Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive' is spot on. See the film and be moved. It deserves awards by the bucket load and offers more excitement than any blockbuster ever could.

  • Great watch, not just for bikers but anyone

Guy Martin has become my new hero. I'm not a fan of motorsport yet I found this documentary brilliant and it gave me an appreciation of what people go through at the TT races. This film gives an interesting view of the Isle of man races and some of the camera work is terrifying to watch. The film is very informative with the history of the TT and it is presented very entertainingly but it is when Guy Martin is on screen that the film rises from very good to great. Guy Martin is the star and we follow him in his quest for a win. He is very funny, down to earth and seems oblivious to danger. The film is so well made that I was rooting for him even though I knew I was watching a DVD. I really enjoyed this film even though it hasn't converted me to a superbike fan.

Superb. A captivating portrait of the spirit of the riders- great characters, fantastic cinematography and utterly compelling throughout. Best film I've watched in a long time.

  • On the edge from start to finish!

This is a pure buzzing, fast paced, out and out marvel of a film. You don't need to be into bikes or biking to get totally caught up in the story that unfolds before your eyes. Guy Martin is brilliant in this as he is charismatic, funny and genuinely interesting. The story of his and others efforts to race and conquer this hair raising track on the Isle of Man is completely compelling. It's all here, drama, comedy, tragedy and even love. This is, in my opinion, even better than the brilliant Senna simply because it is not about the glamourous, highly expensive and, I would say, manipulated world of F1 but about the no holds barred, nerve shredding, on the edge bonkers riders who risk their lives for a fraction of what the F1 guys get. I challenge anyone with even a remote interest in motor racing or danger to get this and not be blown away!

Tremendous, honest piece of film making capturing the adrenaline rush of these brave, slightly insane riders, focusing on Guy Martin. As enjoyable as 'Senna'.
