They just don't make good dance movies like this anymore! Antonio sizzled when he showed his students how it's done.
If you like Dirty Dancing, and great dance flicks, don't miss this one! From the actors, to the storyline and even the dancing was really good. (I did ballroom dancing for many years, so I can tell when an actor can pull it off. JLo/Richard Gere recently didn't, Antonio and his crew...definitely did!) This is one film that I can say the film was as good as, if not better than the trailer. Don't miss!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 09 Jan 2013I enjoyed following the characters as they developed their dance skills and made a nice change from typical teen flicks. It shows that with the power of dance boys and girls can treat each other with respect which you don't see a lot of in todays society. The dancing was impressive too, but if you are not into dancing, you made get a bit bored with the film after a while as it is a key focus.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good start then downhill.

makes you want to go out and learn to dance and help youngsters too.

Wow - I've been tango'd!
By SusieP (127 reviews) from Leeds , 13 Dec 2010If you want to see the sexiest, most fabulous tango ever danced on screen, then watch the moment when Antonio Banderas and his gorgeous dancer friend show a bunch of unruly, disruptive and reluctant teenagers just how amazing dance can be. It is as sizzling hot as you could wish for - if only I could dance like that, with a man like that! Antonio portrays with a great mix of charm and humour the dance teacher brought in to give something meaningful to a detention group of kids who are at first relucant to listen to any music other than their hip hop tracks. I love the fact that this is based on a real life person and it made me want to know more about Pierre Dulaine. Good support also from Alfre Woodward as the head teacher whose initial scepticism turns into admiration. It may be a bit predictable in places but it's a feel-good film and has a good message to deliver about inclusion for all and the joys of music and dance.
Treat yourself, indulge yourself and watch Antonio whisk his tango partner around the room looking mean, moody and gorgeous. It would be enough to leave Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tolioni totally speechless with admiration!- Was this review helpful to you?
