    Purely Excellent!!!

If you have not seen this yet then what are you waiting for!!! I enjoyed this so much I bought it after watching the final episode. The first episode is kind of an intro and you don't think much of it, but after the second episode it starts to get interesting and you just can't stop there!

P.S. I don't often compliment actors, but Dakota Fanning who plays the little girl in the last few episodes is brilliant.

this is a brilliant series, although it may only appeal to sci-fans

    amazing,strange and gripping

Taken is one of the best series i have ever seen. The first episode is a load of drizzle but once you have watched the second its hard to stop. The way the families come together is exellent and the storyline is suprisingly unpredictable. Definatley one for fans of the X-Files series.

    fabulous!!!!

Having missed this series when it showed on bbc2 and hearing the hype i was dubious about renting the entire collection.

spielberg had a pop at the et thing with the cute little wrinkly alien and i was sure that this would be another soft and smiley take on things.

i was suprised to find a well acted strong story line that had me hooked from the start with the fantastic dakota fanning being a hilight of the series.

you become involved with the charecters and need to know what happens next.

im sure if id had all 6 cds at once i would have done them in 1 sitting!!

well done to mr s for a fabulous trip and i would definately recommend this to sci fi fans and 'normal' people as a not to be missed experience.

    Surprisingly impressed

I caught this by accident on television when it was on in January 2003 - and I, who loathes science fiction in any size, shape or variety was hooked.

Well made, well acted with a strong cast, well produced all contributed to making something which is a tad far fetched very believable indeed.

    Amazing psycological sci-fi

This is top quality from Stephen Spealberg. Its very psycological in its presentation, and is very deep. The character plot is hard to follow and you really have to watch hard, as it skips from past decriptive tence to presnt tence very quickley. although this adds to the mistery of it. The little girl in this is an amazing actress.

    Dont be put off!!

Right, i understand a lot of you will be instantly put off by the fact that this is based on alien abductions. Believer, Non-believer or just curious. This is an absolutely astounding watch.

Dakotas Performance like usual is spectacular. Her voiceovers throughout are true and make you question yourself. The film itself is excellent its gripping, emotional and intense. This mini series has it all, forget that its based on alien abductions, this film makes you lose the sense of watching a movie, and to me any film that can do that is excellent. The graphics are good the plot is solid and its acted brilliantly

Personally im a non believer in UFO abductions but i believe theres life beyond our own, however regardless of your opinion / beliefs i HIGHLY reccoment this film for the watching.

    Hope ive been of Help

    Epic!

Excellent series with brilliant actors and a suspenseful, breathtaking story. I usually find any series tiring after one or two episodes, but with this one I've made an exception, spending a whole night watching the lot in one go. If you believe in UFOs, aliens etc. you'll find it difficult to classify it as a fictional story, if you don't, trust me, you won't ever get bored.

    This is sooooo Good

This whole series is just superb, and I'm not just talking about the special effects either. There is true character development through a massive span of years it goes to show just how good a story teller Speilberg really is.

If you don't watch anything else this year watch this series.

why hadnt i heard of this??

started getting this series from my local video shop when i was waiting for discs to arrive. the beginning is slow and covers many characters and generations so i found it hard to remember who everyone was and who they were connected to, and how. people come and go so it's hard to care about anyone until disc 4 when it really starts to come together and dakota fanning truly shines as the special girl. fantastic stuff! government cover-ups, alien abductions, special powers...they are all there. sit back and enjoy!

Taken - it will make you think again...

There are about 10 episodes but they are well worth the watch - make sure you get them within a week of each other. Fantastic plot across several generations telling the story of 2 families, one who are constantly taken by aliens and the other desperate to find out what makes them so special. Brilliant acting by all involved - you can realy get into this one.
