    Outstanding

I saw this on TV when it originally aired and fell in love with it.

There are some aspects of this show which are so typically Glaswegian it's quite cheesy, but the performances from all the actors were fantastic.

David Tennant gives a brilliant performance for one of his first TV roles and was a natural at being Manic.

The entire series is funny, thought provoking and completly timeless.

    Takin' over the Asylum

Yes - 5 stars. this is a fantastic gem from BBC. I am old enoughto remember it first time around and it has definately stood the test of time. David Tennant truly demonstrates his talents as an actor even at a relatively young age, and Ken Stott and Angus McFadyen just can't go wrong. It is a film to suit all - hilarious moments, shocks, tearjerkers and some very thought provoking writing. This is one of those little gems that nearly got away - don't miss it!
