Well, I think I too have been a victim of the nostalgic tv trip! This is not how I remembered this great(in my mind!) series. The stories are terribly predictable and the acting is nothing more than hackneyed and tired. This is a once great series brought to its knees by nostalgic tv viewers like myself attemting to resurrect its once loved but now over fatigued old bones in the 21st century. My advice is to leave it buried and undisturbed!
This is still a pleasure to watch, and apart from a couple of tales would recommend to anyone. However I cannot work out the method of the people who release it on DVD, as the episodes available are 1-34, then skip to 103, 105-109, 111-112, leaving at least 70 episodes unreleased..You can buy series 1-3, then are vol 1-4 very confusing haha Dave..
