A very very sad load of old ballads

This film is about a racecar driver who loses everything and then finds his path back to the big time. Cor Blimey Chief as Penfold use to say, what a load of old sh*t, which he didn't say. I sat though bad acting, bad accents, especially from Sacha Baron Cohen and a bad story that made me wish I hadn't watched such an awful film as this.

    Vroooommmmm

A typical Farrell film very much in the same vain as Anchorman, Elf, K&S etc.

Farrell is typically an over the top simpleton supported by an excellent cast in particular John C Reilly, Sacha Baron Cohen and the kids playing Walker and Texa Ranger.

As usual the humour is not of the slapstick variety if you want that then rent Adam Sandler. Farrell provides you with Characters that you believe in although you think to yourself nah these can't be right.

A few laugh out loud moments with great characters.

Days of Thunder with a splash of Irony and humour

    Brilliantly funny!

I walked out of the cinema smiling and with a real buzz! Not alot of comedies around can do that to me! It is really funny in a lighthearted type of way... If you want to cure a bad or heavy mood then watch this, you'll be glad you did. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can buy it as my picker upper!

NOT A FILM FOR ME OR FAMILY

I WATCHED THIS WITH 5 OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS, NOT ONE OF US LAUGHED AT THIS. I THINK ANCHORMAN IS FAR BETTER AND THAT MADE EVERYONE LAUGH. THE STORY LINE IN THIS FILM IS LAME AND WE GOT TO THE MIDDLE AND KEPT WATCHING JUST IN CASE SOMETHING DID HAPPEN, NOTHING DID IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. MY FAMILY AGES ARE 11 YEARS TO 21 YEARS (CHILDREN) AND MY PARENTS 40YEARS.

SORRY IT JUST DIDN'T MAKE THE GRADE

    I got bored...

I got quite bored half way through this. I switched it off then started watching from scratch the next day just incase I wasn't in the mood for it, but I still felt the same. I love Will Ferrell in Anchorman but I didn't find his character in this very funny. The funniest parts are shown in the trailer and I think I laughed out loud once. Overall I thought the story was pretty slow and the funny parts are few and far between.

    Too much hype?

After I saw the film Anchorman, my expectations of this film was, to put it bluntly- bloody massive. The Director & star combined forces again (together with a couple of the same old faces) to produce, what I personally would call a bit of a dissapointment. Although there are a good few times you can laugh, none were rib tickling- i have to change my trouser hilarious comedy moments. I DO reccomend you rent it- as perhaps my view will change after a good few watches of it, but as for all the hype... Ferrell is my hero, and always will, but i think he tried just a bit too hard this time.

    Utter cr@p

Why does Wiil Ferrell keep making these average movies? He must be among the very small group of people, that think they're any good. Miss this and you won't miss out.

    Unbelievably bad

I couldn't believe I was sitting to watch this movie and had wasted precious time. What on earth were they thinking of when they put money into it?

Pathetic story, dreadful script, heinous acting and as for Sasha Baron Cohen, he'll never work in Hollywood again.

I mean, it's a car movie and even the so-called action shots were pedestrian in extremis.

    Don't bother, is my advice.
