A very very sad load of old balladsBy Mbub from Westbury, Wilts , 16 Jul 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]This film is about a racecar driver who loses everything and then finds his path back to the big time. Cor Blimey Chief as Penfold use to say, what a load of old sh*t, which he didn't say. I sat though bad acting, bad accents, especially from Sacha Baron Cohen and a bad story that made me wish I hadn't watched such an awful film as this.

mixed thoughtsBy terrieandpeter (20 reviews) from england , 03 Feb 2010I (female) do not remember it so asking my partner what it was all about so that shows how bad it was for me to not even know i watched it.......feel bad as i think will farell is great as i have said in my past reviews
my partner being male thinks it was funny here and there with its manly moments
The kids are alrightBy MrXStitch (7 reviews) from Milton Keynes , 17 Jan 2010The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is definitely one of the better Will Ferrell films, and his partnership with John C Reilly is one of the strengths of this film. It's nice to see Sasha Baron Cohen in it as well, although his character isn't fully realised.
However the best characters in this film, without a doubt, are Walker and Texas Ranger, the two kids. The funniest part of this DVD is in the special feature that showcases all the clips featuring these two terrors. It's a hilarious five minutes that should be compulsory watching.
This film is good for a laugh, as are most Will Ferrell films, and is definitely worth a watch.
