A Pleasant Summer Film
By Steff87 (4 reviews) from London. England , 06 Sep 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
Tamara Drewe was a very sweet, pleasant film with passion, romance and a hint of comedy thrown in for good measure. The true winner in this film has to be the young girl who plays the obsessed fan, she really made some humorous viewing. Overall a quiet joy to watch.- Was this review helpful to you?

(243)Rural chaos
By Fitz42 (161 reviews) from Darwen , 22 Aug 2012Not the film I was expecting after watching the trailer to be honest. An idyllic and peaceful village is put in a bit of a tiswas on the return of one of it's former residents. What becomes easy light-hearted viewing slowly turns into what feel likes slapstick situations and farce. Around about the hour mark I was just waiting for it to finish. Shame, as it could have been a much better film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Solid British Filmmaking!
By CurtainShrew (27 reviews) from Redditch , 31 Jul 2012I rented this after hearing all the hype and wanting to see what the fuss was about. Overall the film was pretty good. Had a brilliant cast and some really funny moments (loved the schoolgirls!)
Wasn't the best thing I have ever seen, but it is worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

Cute romantic tale
By a customer , 30 Jun 2012A cute, romantic tale of a woman who allures and captivates men of all ages despite that they are not what she is really looking for. As the movie's them is around novelists or writers, expect it to start as such and continue. Well performed and acted.- Was this review helpful to you?

Pleasurable viewing
By smh85 (2 reviews) , 06 Jun 2012I really enjoyed watching this film last night, as did my other half. We are both mid to late twenties and enjoy films about people, rather than explosions and special effects, and this suited us down to the ground.
I read another review that said they waited for the film to 'get to the point'. I can truly say we did not feel like that at all.
I can't claim it was breath taking, but it was good and worth a watch if, like us, you enjoy the simpler things.- Was this review helpful to you?
