I adored both series 1 and 2 of Teachers - witty, sharp, sarcastic and surreal. Full of great characters, some of the best dialogue in comedy and a totally original take on the profession of teaching and the education system. So what went wrong? Why was series 3 full of ridiculous plots, stupidity, missing several characters (with no explanation either) and so awash with the feeling that the peak had already been reached and left behind? Funny in parts but definitely not as good as previously, I stopped watching it about three quarters through the series as I was too bored to carry on.
Teachers is a really excellent and funny series, and Series Three was when they made the most of Kurt and Brian's brilliant comedy characters. If you missed Teachers when it was on TV, do yourself a favour and watch them all on DVD.
