CAREFUL, GOOD GIRLS CAN BITE. Teeth is a story of sexual awakening like you've never seen before.

    [Highly rated reviewer]

Brimming with cheap laughs, cheap shocks, cheap thrills and cheap special effects, Teeth is the cautionary tale of the ultimate good-girl-gone-bad; a pretty young bible-bashing virgin who discovers that her vagina has teeth. You heard-she discovers that her VAGINA has TEETH. I would have loved to have been in the boardroom when that concept was being mulled over- and would like very much to go out for a pint with whatever sick puppy approved it. It's unbelieveable barrel-scrapingness is precisely what makes it so entertaining, to watch it with a group of people is a joy. You never actually get to SEE the carnivourous 'vagina dentata' but you do get to see quite a lot of it's stumpy victims. Suffice to say, I'd hate to be a guy watching this! I am over the moon to discover it's based on a Japanese film called 'kiraa pusshii' and will be relentlessly pouncing on bargain bins until I find it. Teeth is not going to win any aawards, but for schlock value alone I give it a 3. Does she floss? You'll only find out if you give it a go!

To be fair I had heard about this film and was intrigued as the idea sounded ridiculous. I think the writers tried out a new idea and I wouldn't say for me it was my kind of film but it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Quite honestly, I zipped quite a few parts of this film as it was pretty boring! Thought when it started it was made in the 70's! There are some funny parts, and you are left wondering how these 'actors' kept a straight face. BUT, the face on the old guy at the end made the film worth a watch, really did make me laugh!

  • A cautionary tale - nicely done

I really liked this film. While it's not 'scarey', it does leave you (well, men anyway) protectively cradling your 'parts' whenever a guy goes near the leading lady!

To me the film should be viewed in the same darkly comically spirit it was written & made. Much in the way that Drag Me To Hell or Cabin Fever - there's that 'teasing' method of film making where you know somethings going to happen but not exactly when, and when it does happen it happens with macabre relish.

    A deserved 3 and a half stars

  • A fleeting "what if" thought - not a film.

Predictable and boring. The result of someone having a concept that most people have had flit across their minds at one time or another, then struggling to make it fit a film-length story. Wooden characters don't help.
