    BONKERS!!

I went to the cinema to see this movie and would thoroughly rec. it to anyone who has half a brain cell. Now don't get me wrong, I am no intellectual, pretentious snob - intellectual, moi? - but some of these reviews are hysterical. For example, 'I was bored with this film It was french', 'SUBTITLES FOR OVER 2 HOURS' and the best one of all - 'Really diasappointed that i wasted my time....didn't even bother to watch it'. Do you get my drift? Seems to me that some peeps should stick to Rosie and Jim or maybe The Flumps. Cor blimey - it was a French film! Unless your French is fluent and not on the same level as Del boy, of course it will be bloomin' subtitled! Read what it says on the tin first! Mange tout, mange tout.......

    Honestly amazing

This has got to be one of my favourite films of all time.

It's complex, clever, cool and shot crisply. The plot is incredible (in a good way), but the acting, direction and setting come together to create a thrilling story. It has suspense, twists, action (but not the over the top Hollywood style mentioned).

I'm struggling to do it justice here, but I can only thoroughly recommend that you rent this DVD and I am confident that you will never regret your choice.

It's one of those films where half way through, you realise that you are watching something truly special and you just savour the moment from then on. Incredible.

Fantastic, fanstatic, fantastic (and yes, it's French!!)

Hahaha- okay, so I will admit that I had no idea that this was a french film! Was quite tempted to turn it off, but glad I didn't! Its a brilliant masterpiece with a twist that not even Jessica Fletcher could piece together! Definitely recommended.

    Please tell us about sub-titles!

Like others I was disappointed that I rented this film when there was no indication of this being a sub-titled DVD. I really do not like reading he dialogue as think that this detracts from the overall experience.

Some would say read the reviews but I often pick films without reading them so as to have no preconceived ideas about the production.

So EasyCinema..... Please make it clear for customers if films have subtitles.

    Disapponted...

Was very disappointed to discover IT IS A SUBTITLED film. Stopped watching it at the very start as I don't like watching subtitled films.

    subtitles ...........AGAIN

yet another english named film in a non english language.dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with subtitles but it is so easy to put this in your rental list without realising which is annoying when you recieve a film sit down to watch it to realise its subtitled.

great if you dont mind subtitles and there are some great subtitled films out there but sometimes you dont want to have to think too much when watching a film.

    It's got it all

Adapted from an American book, denied to Hollywood who wanted to turn in into an action based film with no love story in it. This French adaptation is still action packed but it follows the book better, it is after all a love story between a man looking for his beloved wife.

The main actor got an oscar equivalent in France and it is well deserved.
