    A treat for Tenacious D fans

    Disc one contains the original Tenacious D series episodes and a Tenacious D concert. Much like the Wayne's World shorts on Saturday Night Live before the movie was made, the Tenacious D series is quite lacking but you can see where they're heading in hindsight. Jack and Kyle go on strange and slightly amusing adventures before singing about them on open mic night. Jack Black is very charismatic but seemingly has Tourettes syndrome during all this, it's a wonder on American tv that the whole episodes weren't bleeped out.

    The concert is fantastic but not very well filmed, it seems like it was recorded on Super 8 tape. Luckily the sound is great. This concert particularly shows the excellent musicianship of Kyle. Jack still has a massive pottymouth here.

    Disc two contains the videos of the singles from the Tenacious D album and also a documentary on the recording of the album and being on the road and also interviews on chat shows. Jack really needs to wash his mouth out with soap, but that's part of why we love him. This disc is where most people will find their entertainment. The video for 'F*ck Her Gently' is missing sadly but Tribute and Wonderboy are there. The Easter Eggs on the second disc are very funny too (press left and right to select the skull and the cacti)

    All in all a great selection.

    this is a brilliant dvd. if you like tenacsious d in any way then get this dvd.
