"A nail-biting psychological thriller" this most definitely is not.

I was going to give it 2 stars as the acting wasn't all that bad but felt the 1 and a half 'dull' rating was more befitting. This is a movie in which very little happens and one in which you just wish the main female lead would get killed already by the serial killer to whom she is inexplicably besotted with and travelling around with simply because she is so damned unlikable. The only character whose motivations are even remotely clear is that of the depressed and bitter cop but even he reads like a two-dimensional cut out despite the best efforts of the excellent Crowe. The acting overall isn't that bad but everything else in this film is. I wouldn't even watch it if you like Crowe as an actor (the reason I did) as he doesn't have much to work with here and it isn't anything you wouldn't mind missing, trust me.
