Unbelievable!

Please note that any of the 3 discs can be sent randomly ,so they tell me. They sent me the 3rd Disc first. Didnt watch it obviously sent it right back. They say you have to choose each one at a time if you want it in sequence.

More please!

Great series that should definitely satisfy fans of the movies. Although there is an increasing lack of action in the later episodes, it's still full of great drama and is highly entertaining. The action in the first few episodes is great and although it doesn't quite meet the standards of the movies, it has the same style and is still top-notch with awesome special effects. The acting is very believable too, with a great connection between Sarah and her son. I would say you need to be familiar with the movies before you watch this series, as the plot refers to events that happened in the films quite alot. The story can get quite deep at times and there are some new interesting ideas for terminator fans. There is the occasional moment here and there that isn't perfect but so what, it's a cool little series and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to the next one.

Terminated

So here we go then, in the wake of a few high concept American TV shows comes The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a spin-off from the Terminator movies. Ignoring the much maligned but entertaining 3rd film we kick off with Sarah & son still worried about the onset of Judgement Day, still pursued by robots from the future, & still protected by a robot from the future. So its pretty much familiar ground for fans. A few new touches have been added, the characters travel from 1999 to the present day, there are more time travellers lurking around (both good & bad) & an FBI agent on the case, but this is a pretty average offering with fx that can't disguise its small screen budget. In fact the whole thing feels limited by the fact that its a TV show. Sometimes it falls into the trap of evil robot of the week (who all seem to be doing bad head-cocking Arnie impressions!) with repetitive robot v robot fisticuffs & although there a couple intriguing ideas their potential is never fully explored. Lena Headey is a decent enough actor but doesn't have the physical presence to really pull off the role of Sarah Connor &, like most of the cast, is unfortunately saddled with terribly clunky dialogue including heavy handed voiceover. Thomas Dekker makes for a pretty bland future saviour & Firefly's Summer Glau doesn't have much to do as the new female terminator sent to protect John (or is she?) At the end of the day this doesn't really add anything of merit to the Terminator mythology (in fact much of it simply endlessly repeats themes that were explored far more successfully in the movies) & therefore is pretty pointless. Even the presence of classic Johnny Cash song The Man Comes Around in the closing episode can't salvage this show which deserves to be terminated.

Poor disc management

Agree with the other reviews. Disc seem to be sent out randomly. I have had disc 3, which i sent straight back and now i'm getting disc 2. Useless.

Not sure why this is any different from the other TV series that get sent in order.

An excellent show

I was very surprised how brilliant the show is, it forgets the poor 3rd film and sets out its own story. it takes a 1 or 2 episodes to get use to the new actors in their roles. It avoids the

'evil robot of the week' as there is other terminators but they have different missions that is not to kill John (which is different to the typical smallvile's monster of the week).

Of course the budget can't rival the 2nd or 3rd movies but it does a good job. (the episode with the future war looks really good for a TV show)

Fantastic entertainment

The Sarah Connor Chronicles is not trying to compete with The Terminator films and that's where some reviewers and fans of the films are getting confused. This series is filling in the blanks between The Terminator 2 and 3 movies. It answers some questions such as What happened to Sarah?

I think Lena Headey is a convincing Sarah although no she doesn't have the physical strength of Linda Hamilton. Hamilton worked out for hours everyday for a couple of months prior to the shoot to play a character in a movie, after the movie was over she lost the weight. Lena is playing this character for the next few years (if the ratings remain high), i wouldnt bulk up and change my physical appearance dramatically to play a character on a TV show, she still has to go home to her husband and have a life off screen.

Thomas Dekker is a good looking brooding John Connor. He couldn't get any worse than the untalented kid who played John in the first two movies.

Summer Glau is a fantastic robot. I've questioned her loyalty all through season 1 because she is so convincing. I love the fact that they've decided to make her more human with feelings for John. Next season is going to be interesting when John meets a girl and she becomes jealous.

At first i thought I Brian Green added little to the show but he's starting to grow on me.

The one negative thing i have to mention is the fight scenes are too choreographed and all the fight scenes between the robots are kind of the same.

I think the show is exciting and i cannot wait for season 2.

Did not wish to watch

Did not watch this DVD. This film was sent to me even though I deleted it from my viewing list

Oh No

Just some thing is not right about this. Poor acting by the girl terminator and other cast apart from sarah, and john. Story is all over the place and silly at times.

Awesome

Fantastic show - love the story so far and the cast are awesome.

Shame about the constant threat of cancellation, but it does make each so show they do release all the better.

Hope this gets a permemant deal soon, cant wait for more.
