RUBBISHBy mark bilton from north wales , 12 Mar 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]Pants, rubbish, dire, abysmal, appaling, shocking, crap.
Special effects worse the early doctor who stuff.
I really felt like burning this DVD to stop anyone else suffering the pain and humiliation of watching something sooo bad.
Only gave it one star coz i couldnt give it zero, but a zero rating is still too high.
Only watched it to the end to see how relly bad it was to warn anybody else from wasting their time watching it.
This release should most certainly be removed from the rental list.
By the way, did i say it was s#@te

Still not entirely convincedBy jonny (210 reviews) from Norwich , 22 Nov 2009Still not entirely convinced by this one. Like his work, but this one appeared to attempt to tap into graphic novel (and graphic anything else) before anyone was ready for it.
What???By a customer from Wisbech , 26 Jan 2009I did have both Tetsuo films on order but for some reason they sent me the second one first! i didn't understand it to begin with , but by the end it made some sense.
Not a great story line but it has some stability! a mans child gets kidnapped, he persues the kidnappers, while in persuit he begins to transform into a mechanical weapon (guns retracting from his chest, his arm turning into a shot gun) just the usual stuff!
The vision is quite dystopia and does give a haunting affect but they do seem to use the same scenery over again.
Not the best film ive seen and im in no hurry to see it again. I hope the first one is more appealing as i do know it has a better reputation.
Tedious...By a customer from Newmarket , 07 Nov 2008Reading the 'Radio Times' review, you would think that this film homages Ridley Scott and David Lynch (with maybe a bit of Cronenberg thrown in), but it doesn't, in my opinion. Like it says, forget the story as there isn't one, but then there's nothing to make up for the lack of a plot. If you like your effects gory and soundtrack heavy and industrial, then this delivers in spades. Personally, I found the whole thing dull and tedious and was grateful that it didn't last that long.

Ok but origional is betterBy Jazzmaveric (9 reviews) from kilmarnock , 28 Jul 2008There was something in Iron man that made it stand out. it was low budget but i think the concept was easier to see because of that. It was raw and unforgiving and better for it. Body hammer doesnt quite strike the right note for me. Vague opinion? yes but hey its art :)
