Elements of Confusion
By 5ft7offootballheaven (300 reviews) from London , 30 Jan 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
A little bit confusing. Feels a little disjointed like there is the nugget of a very good film in there but it doesnt quite emerge.
Not sure if the heavily accented Texas drawl helped much, occasionally some subtitles would have helped.
A fair amount of joining the dots needs to be done and some strands of the story are not quite fleshed out. Perhaps thats deliberate as its 'inspired' by true events and maybe they dont know....- Was this review helpful to you?

(55)Southern thriller.
By Zebras22 (43 reviews) , 25 May 2013Average thriller and well acted by all. It will not be nominated for any oscars but it is generally entertaining.- Was this review helpful to you?

Bit crap
By gianino (631 reviews) from London , 24 May 2013I find it fascinating when there is already an interesting plot like in this case taken from actual facts but somehow the movie turn to be plain boring flat sleepy poop. Despite the good cast, Chloe Grace Moretz especially, the movie sucks. It just makes you think that Texas is full of inbreds pedos freaks.- Was this review helpful to you?

OK but soon forgotten
By Chrisaljack (321 reviews) from Hellingly , 14 May 2013Why is it that films depicting something taking place in the southern states of the USA always seem to be so laid back? The title is misleading as the expectation is of a film full of action; which this certainly is not! There are really three stories contained in this film but none of them really comes to life. The three main characters are never fully developed, which is a pity, because this could have been a memorable movie, instead it ended up as an OK one soon forgotten.- Was this review helpful to you?

need subtitles!
By Ryman (17 reviews) from Bristol UK , 04 May 2013i noticed previous reviews commented on the mumbling. it is very annoying and you do miss whole sentences because of this. the film is ok but just ok. doesnt really give any final closure, not enough detail about whats gone on and for how long. average film, limp ending.- Was this review helpful to you?
