Not just a good example of the genre, but a good film by any standards. Expertly made and with good performances.

  • Rangers Ramble Round the Range!

Excellent cast, good Production setup, realistic with a reasonable plot outline and some potential in the action.

However there appeared to be too much of the stars competing amongst themselves for the most prime exposure time and deciding who was the nicest looking in the “Rough and Tough but Gentle with it” category.

OK but no cigar as a classic! There was so must wasted on the average screenplay, they should have taken lessons from the Wild Bunch or The Magnificent Seven.

Ladies, forget the content, just rent the DVD to drool over Dylan McDermott who plays Captin Leander McNally of the Texas Rangers.!!!

  • Action packed

This action packed Western depicts the real events of the Texas Rangers. Possibly too much attention paid to guns and shooting. Also, I don't like films which don't fit my large, wide screen TV. This was a narrow band in the centre of the screen but the extra features were in full screen.

Well directed, filmed and acted and the music was superb - would even like a CD of it to keep. Will now go and look up my books to read the 'real' accounts of what actually happened and who were the Texas Rangers

  • Horrible - This is NOT a western

    Rated - 1.0 star

This is a movie filled with Prime Time TV actors. And it shows why they stick to TV and dont have illustrious film careers

This is a shame on the dust of all Western flicks. Avoid this one and if you want a western stick in The Wild Bunch, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, The Searchers, Eastwood flicks... but this one is ridiculous

Plot is weak. Character developments are achieved in 5 seconds... its laughable... and not affable. Don't do it...
