Fantastic Fun
By Francis Houseman from Autumn Falls, England , 29 Sep 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
This film is fairly packed with action and has more than its share of quippy one liners. Samuel L J is as cool as can be (as usual!), and Robert C is a wonder to watch. The combo work well together. If you like action and black humour rent this.- Was this review helpful to you?

excellent film
By cheesekake (1282 reviews) from uk , 01 Aug 2011funny, daft, silly, everything that a good film needs. And samuel L Jackson is excellent as the main character too. robert Carlyle plays an excellent side kick too.
Well recommended- Was this review helpful to you?

Elmo's in the house
By Bassman71 (617 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 04 Nov 2010Man makes 'legal high', crime boss wants formula, man goes to England to sell formula, things go wrong.
Loud, crass yet entertaining comedy-action film set in and around Liverpool & features a very strong cast.
Did come across as a bit of a poor man's 'Lock Stock' & does wander into cliché territory now and then but does have a number of funny lines & moments.
Stand-outs are definitely Rhys Ifans, Sean Pertwee & Meat Loaf all hamming it up although not sure about Robert Carlyle & Emily Mortimer's Scouse accents.- Was this review helpful to you?

This is hilarious
By Mdezoe (3 reviews) from London , 26 Sep 2010I have watched this film so many times and never ever get fed up of it. it is hilarious and reminds me of characters in life whom I have met, Love the pub scene where Robert Carlisle goes into the Man U supporters pub and Rhys ifan as the crazy club owner/ crime boss trying to sort his chakras out, A funny out there take on real life.- Was this review helpful to you?
