itching to watch it
By a customer , 12 Jul 2011I first read the book which has loads more storeys in it (each wired and wonderful) I couldn't put it down. yes from the 90`s but wasn't that a time of wired and wonderful times to of lived though (i was there & proud to say so to) and these`s story summed up the days of indulgent`s to a t .... excellent book but never seen the film, missed it when it came on TV (GUTTED) . ordered the film to watch so hoping it doesn't let the book or Irvine Walsh down- Was this review helpful to you?

Very 90s;dated already
By a customer , 09 Jun 2011Some films are timeless classics, others are very much of their time and date quickly. This is definitely the latter.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Acid House. 18. 1998.
By tvfilmbuff (14 reviews) from Mansfield , 07 Feb 2011It has three separate stories, the first one was terrible and i couldnt watch it. The second one starred Kevin McKidd and it was enjoyable but the third one starring Martin Clunes was doen right weird. it was okay but nothing to write home about.- Was this review helpful to you?

Take a trip
By Whipster (663 reviews) from Shropshire , 27 Jul 2010Weirdly over the top trilogy of short stories. Taken as a whole it's a sort of harder edged 'Trainspotting' with several easily recognisable and similar themes. You're either gonna love or loathe the content, there's no middle ground here. First story is actually very funny and surprisingly hard hitting. I laughed out loud on numerous occasions. Second episode not so funny as you'll want to literally kill (or at the very least beat them with your tiny fists), not only the neighbour from hell but also the girlfriend! Again it draws an almost palpable reaction from the viewer. And the final story again isn't so amusing! But again it'll draw a reaction from you as a waster experiences a body swap with a new born baby. The cast in each part is, without excpetion, quite brilliant. But with a predominance of broad Scottish accents understanding some of the dialogue can be quiet challenging...but well worth it. Equally hilarious and annoying this is a cult classic in the making. 4 stars.- Was this review helpful to you?
