French tradegy

Melanie Laurent's directorial debut is one of the saddest films I have seen in years. In true French movie style the incident that almost splits the film into two comes out of nowhere and what follows is a tear fest for anyone who may have been unlucky enough to have known what waiting in hope for something that may never come back is.

The movie made my heart beat, I have never sympathised with a character so hard & emotionally begged there to be another way. I didn't realise until after the movie Mélanie Laurent was responsible for directing, she is an all round sensational person- Was this review helpful to you?

Beautifully sad

Didn't realise it was French subtitiled and almost didn't watch it but I loved Amelie so thought I'd give it a go.

Joy in sadness

It brings out happiness and sadness at the same time , most romantic films don`t keep me captivated like this film.
