LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
A delightful comedy that pays homage to Hollywood's silent film era of the late 1920s/early 30s.

A silent movie to shout about
By A-lad-in-a-hat (13 reviews) from Brighton , 13 Feb 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
Simply irresistible. Deals with universal emotions of love and remorse, this is more then a skit, this is a lively and lovable comedy that's full of personality and charm- Was this review helpful to you?

(169)Great - a must see
By a customer , 14 May 2013I really didn't think I'd like this film - usually if a film is so hyped, then it needs to be. But I was proved so wrong - this is a superb film in all ways and I enjoyed every moment.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dog deserved Oscar
By Bimbo123456 (6 reviews) , 09 May 2013Decided to watch it because of the hype. To be honest the best work was done by ....the dog. The story was hackneyed and unbelievable. Was bored to be honest.- Was this review helpful to you?

silent but not original
By stuntmanbob (51 reviews) from diss , 05 May 2013To be honest I don`t think the film lived up to all its hype. A lot of the gags and certainly the plot have all been done before and when a film needs a performing dog to keep it moving then it does`nt really speak much for quality.- Was this review helpful to you?

Boring and lacked substance.
By a customer , 05 May 2013Awful, just awful. We gave it as long as we could but had to switch off. This has to be one of the worst films we have ever rented. The black and white silent movie style was an interesting concept to set the scene, but 5 minutes would have been enough. After 20 minutes it just became hard work and boring. Good and novel idea but lacked the substance to carry it through.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not for everyone
By a customer , 01 May 2013I must be the exception to the rule but I hated this film and turned it off after about 25 minutes. There is a reason why we started having talking on films. Avoid!- Was this review helpful to you?
