Don't waste your time
By Philbo1981 (8 reviews) from Iver , 22 Jun 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
You've seen this movie a number of times, it sticks to the formula like most genre films. But with little action. It's a real soppy love story that is unbearable most of the time. You've probably seen better versions of this movie. Avoid. The little martial arts action is good, but so little that by missing this movie you miss virtually nothing anyway.- Was this review helpful to you?

Waste of time for action fans
By a customer , 08 Nov 2011More of a cliched love story than a martial arts film.
The fight scenes are few and far between and not very good.
I have no idea why it's called 'Assassin's Blade', no character in it is an assassin.- Was this review helpful to you?

I dare you not to love this one
By RhodWindsor (12 reviews) from London , 16 Sep 2011Another heartbreaker! Beautifully photographed and, while a little bit schmaltzy now and again, it is still a great story of love and the barriers you have to overcome.

Great acting, shame about the on screen chemistry
By a customer from London , 02 Mar 2011I admire both Chun Wu and Charlene choi, as they have both achieved so much and a young age. The fighting scenes were great, but there could be more, the love story was well done (not too soppy), but there was practically no chemistry between the two main actors. Compare to the Taiwanese version of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e where Chun Wu has a similar role (girl went to boy school to chase after boy, boy found out girl really is a girl, they fell in love), there was so much more chemistry between them. Ge Hu have protraited someone with a torn personality well, and I think the scenary and the CGI were both amazing.
One other thing should be mentioned - Harlem Yu was great in this movie.- Was this review helpful to you?

Quiet sweet but a bit irritating
By a customer from Hethersett, Norwich, Norfolk , 06 Jan 2011I did watch to the end of this film and found it to be quite a sweet story but got a bit irritated a few times. Acting was quite good, story was quite good. I would be disappointed if I forgot I'd watched it and accidentally ordered it again.- Was this review helpful to you?
