    [Highly rated reviewer]

A gentle, well acted film about family life with a good storyline. A way of life that, sadly, is probably gone for ever.

An absolutely fabulous film, if the final scene doesn't bring a tear to your eye you must have a heart of stone.

A fantastic study into family life, alienation, and good old fashioned love story. Worth a watch on so many levels. John Mills is absolutely brilliant, and the rest of the cast compliment him perfectly.

If you want to know what the early sixties was like this is the PERFECT film!

Tin bath in front of the fire and the naked rear of Haley Mills has a vaguely erotic charm.Liz Frazer in pony skin coat and mini skirt.John Mills is quite superb'Thats life son it'll make you laugh it'll make you bloody cry!'Many other great characters including Wilfred Pickles,Howell Bennet and Keith Barron.

    A stylish and excellent film/

    Absolutely LOVED this film.

Think it's great to see films from this generation and compare them to life today. FORGET EASTENDERS...

These are so well written and acted and also contained real issues that DO affect people.

Just got to say, if you like this...then you've got to rent 'Up the Junction'. Loved this film so much...I brought it AND will be buying 'The Family Way' too.
