Lauper's Kinky Boots musical gets October launch date

Cyndi Lauper's musical revamp of 2005 movie Kinky Boots is set to hit the stage later this year (12). The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun singer joined forces with actor/writer Harvey Fierstein and director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell for the production in 2010 and the theatre show will now get a test run in Chicago, Illinois later this year (12), before hitting Broadway. Moviemaker Oliver Stone has criticised bosses at banking giant Goldman Sachs after they refused to let him film new movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps in their offices.
