If you liked "Friends" you'll probably love this...

Set in New York, this is as much a comedy of manners as a romantic comedy. The main male protaganist is a cariacture of the 'nice guys finish last' variety and the female characters revolve around him filling various fairly standard issue roles, the nice girl, the beautiful heartbreaker, the ditzy girl, etc.
It's an entertaining movie which will pass a couple of rainy hours without causing either emotional upheaval or deep thought. If you liked the 'Friends' TV series, you'll probably love this, it's the same era and the same location and a broadly similar social set going through similar mistimings, misunderstandings and misinterpretations to arrive finally at a conclusion which could be summed up as 'there's someone for everyone'.
It's neither an edgy indie film nor pure Hollywood but it is entertaining and the production standard is good. Enjoy with a glass of white wine and a slice of cherry pie.- Was this review helpful to you?
