Where wolf? There wolf!
By MichaelN from London , 17 Oct 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Ha ha, what a great film! I remember being scared by this when I was younger and saw it on TV.
A millionnaire gathers a few people together at his swanky mansion, one of them is a werewolf - it's up to you to guess - there's even a werewolf break towards the end of the film where you get the chance.
The film's got funky '70s music, a great atmosphere. Ahhh, they don't make 'em like they used to!!- Was this review helpful to you?

(8)Beast? What beast?
By RJNeb2 (924 reviews) from London , 03 Jun 2012A surprisingly refreshing wrinkle on the old werewolf story combining it with an Agatha Christie 10 Little Indians slant finds big game hunter Calvin Lockhart inviting some guests to his house in the country in order to unmask one of them as a throat-slashing monster. The film even stops off midway through for a Werewolf Break, giving you 30 seconds to deduce who you think is the culprit. Its all quite good fun in a rather naïve kind of way, enough that youre prepared to overlook the appalling day-for-night shooting and the fact the terrifying beast of the title is quite obviously an Alsatian.- Was this review helpful to you?

The film must die
By a customer , 22 Jan 2012Really awful horror. The werewolf in a German Shepard dog. Has some big stars in it but this is as bad as they get.- Was this review helpful to you?

Cult Classic
By a customer , 09 Sep 2011classic cult horror, i was petrified of this 30 years ago, not so much now as the werewolves of today are truly frightening at sight, still none the less a cracker of nostalgic horror- Was this review helpful to you?

Underated classic, see it to believe it!
By a customer from Aberdeen , 23 Aug 2010I love this film. It is a completely underated slice of 1970's cheese.
The werewolf break is inspired, also noteable for having a black leading man,who is in no way reinforcing typical stereotypes on celluoid, as Hollywood et al, were wont to do back then, and still now.
I loved this film as a child, and still rate it. Would highly recommend if you will allow yourself to surrender to the inanity of it all.- Was this review helpful to you?
