Not exactly what I had in mind
By TonyC (52 reviews) from dewsbury , 11 Mar 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
Like my review of the sister disc, this was a bit of an anti climax.
I'd waited so long for this to arrive, just to hear other people talking during the songs about the song I am trying to listen to.
I've already watched the Anthology, I just wanted to see proper footage of full songs.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from UK , 23 Jun 2008This DVD is essentially a documentary style programme lasting one hour. It shows coverage of the Beatles playing on the Ed Sullivan show in the mid-60s. The Ed Sullivan show is a bit like the UK chat-show! Most of the tracks on the red album are on this DVD but along with a commentary by so-called officianados like Phil Sutcliffe, Nick Tauber etc The quality is surprisingly impressive; but ultimately the documentary and footage is shown in a picture-in-picture format.
Whilst this DVD will be of interest to even the most modest of Beatles fans, it is certain to have more appeal to the collector. Non-the-less enjoyable but rent it instead of buying it! Well put together and produced. Look forward to more from the Rock Milestones series.- Was this review helpful to you?

rubbish..
By a customer from Liverpool, England , 31 Oct 2007this is yet another Beatles dvd featuring so called experts commenting on how She Loves You changed the world, utter rubbish, don`t bother with this 1, there is nothing new on this disc, the performances are from the Ed Sullivan shows, the commentators are unknowns and the commentary is same old, same old.- Was this review helpful to you?

Beatles Red Album
By Glenn Mitchell from Rhyl North Wales , 17 Oct 2007Acollection of short video clips showing The Beatles performances on Ed Sullivan in the main, together with commentary from various people in the music business, some I've never heard off to be honest, the DVD is OK for a new fan who has not seen the clips before but to a collector its a poor collection of things that have been compiled before.- Was this review helpful to you?
