Most helpful review
good romantic comedy
By a customer from London , 23 Feb 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
I hadnt heard of this movie before, so perhaps it went straight on dvd, but I found it to be an above average feel good film. It's not your typical rom-com, the acting is pretty good and there are quite a few hilarious moments. I enjoyed watching this. There's bound to be other reviews focusing on how simple the plot is at times, but that's what makes it all the more enjoyable.- Was this review helpful to you?

(120)A huge disappointment.
By wlf29 (10 reviews) from Brighton , 03 Oct 2011A star studded romantic comedy? Barely. I'm a big fan of both Seth Green and Stuart Townsend and yet even they fell short of making this film watchable. It was dull and uninteresting, with very little comedy. It lacked sincere romance and failed to hold my attention...I think I even started cleaning during one of the more boring scenes. With people like Green on board it could have been a great film, however the unoriginal storyline and slow pace left me falling asleep by the end. Very disappointing!- Was this review helpful to you?

Seth Green steals the movie!
By HazelFairy (26 reviews) from Bedford , 16 Jun 2011Got this movie as it's not one I've heard of, and I rather like Seth Green. Also spotted 'Malcolm' (In the Thick of it) dressed as a vicar, so decided it was worth checking out.
Thought the film was fairy amusing, it had one or two 'giggle moments' but I have to say it was a bit disappointing overall. It was a nice gentle movie, but I thought that the characters were rather 1 dimensional, with the exception of Seth Green's character who was marvellously cheeky and mischievious and totally lifted the film out of blandness for me.
Not awful, but not outstanding either.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Best Man
By Kela23 (601 reviews) from Wickford, Essex , 08 Mar 2011So when I started to watch this film I realised within about 2 minutes that I had only recently watched it on Film 4!!
Needless to say I carried on watching it and I enjoyed it just as much the second time round. Nothing offensive, light hearted romantic comedy that filled an otherwise boring Friday night in!!- Was this review helpful to you?

The Best Man
By AnnaT (62 reviews) from Tamworth , 15 Feb 2011it was ok, the terrible accents were distracting (seth green) and it was quite hard to care about the characters. predictable and pretty lame. A so so film that doesnt deserve a second go.- Was this review helpful to you?
