superb..........................

this dvd series is superb. The series stars Kaley Cuoco as Penny (she played Billie in Charmed), Johnny Galecki (he played the part of David in Roseanne) as Leonard, Jim Parsons ( he has been in Judging Amy and Ed) as Sheldon, Simon Helberg (he has had guest roles in Reno 911, Studio 60, Sunset Strip, Joey and MAD TV) as Wolowitz and Kunal Nayyar (he has had a guest role on NCIS, and his theatre acting credits include 'Huck and Holden' at the Dahlia Theatre in Los Angeles) as Rajesh Koothrappali.
The series revolves around two physicists, who learn how little they know about life, when a beautiful woman comes into their lives.
Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of 'beautiful minds' that understand how the universe works.
But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women.
All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali.
However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love.

(47)Good but not great
By Mak7210 (11 reviews) from London , 16 Sep 2010The first 6 episode was very good but not memorable. I found it hard to remember some of the episodes after watching it. It's a good show but not as brilliant as it can be. Still 2 more discs of season1 left.- Was this review helpful to you?

Quite possibly the worst US TV show I have ever seen
By a customer from Bournemouth , 22 Mar 2010Take any teen kids show from somewhere like the Disney channel, add a few 'adult ' jokes and a truly awful canned laughter track and you end up with this complete dross. I searched on this site under comedy and this came up high on the list....HOW ? It is really dreadful. I sent back disc 2 without even watching it and then have just realised today that I forgot to take disc 3 off my list...so it's currently on the way to me...my own fault. US comedy at its absolute worst.- Was this review helpful to you?
