this dvd second series is superb. The series stars Kaley Cuoco as Penny (she played Billie in Charmed), Johnny Galecki (he played the part of David in Roseanne) as Leonard, Jim Parsons ( he has been in Judging Amy and Ed) as Sheldon, Simon Helberg (he has had guest roles in Reno 911, Studio 60, Sunset Strip, Joey and MAD TV) as Wolowitz and Kunal Nayyar (he has had a guest role on NCIS, and his theatre acting credits include 'Huck and Holden' at the Dahlia Theatre in Los Angeles) as Rajesh Koothrappali.
The series revolves around two physicists, who learn how little they know about life, when a beautiful woman comes into their lives.
Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of 'beautiful minds' that understand how the universe works.
But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women.
All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali.
However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love.

(16)The Big Bang that's a BIG Hit.
By Lucullus (56 reviews) , 08 May 2013What can you say about this brilliant comedy series? The best sitcom to come out of the US since the brilliant Frasier. The writing is so good, fast paced and clever it is a joy to watch. Every actor really plays their character like they were born for it. If this doesn't tickle your funny bone, then you don't have one. Excellent stuff.- Was this review helpful to you?

Excellent well observed comedy
By a customer , 07 Jun 2011This series just gets better. Witty script and superb character observation. The guest appearances from the real world of science really adds to it.- Was this review helpful to you?
